It’s been a while since I did a food related post, so I decided to do one on a smoothie that has been my family’s absolute go to this summer! I love incorporating smoothies into my daughters diet because getting her to eat her fruits and veggies daily is usually a struggle. Let me just tell you, if you have a picky eater like I do then smoothies are your best friend! The options are truly endless when making smoothies! I have found that this particular flavor combination has been my daughters absolute favorite. My daughter loves smoothies because they taste sweet and delicious while being packed with the nutrients she needs (mommy win!).Making smoothies has become part of our daily routine, it’s so cute my daughter wakes up from her afternoon nap everyday requesting her smoothie, or as she calls them “sebe”.
I have to be honest I don’t really measure anything other then the milk when it comes to making smoothies, I just eyeball everything to taste. This is a super easy smoothie that I am sure you and your family will enjoy!
- Handful of Spinach
- 1 ripe Banana
- Handful of frozen fruit mix ( The one I buy is from Aldi it is a mixture of pineapples, mangos, strawberries and peaches. If you don’t have the mix frozen pineapple and/or mango will do just fine!)
- 1 ½ cups of Almond Milk (any milk will do)
- dash of cinnamon
- dash of turmeric
- dash of chia seeds
- dash of flax seed
Blend and Enjoy! (Tip on Blending, I have a Ninja Blender and in the instruction booklet it suggests to press pulse 3 times and then blend on high for the perfect smoothie consistency and that is what I have done and I must say it works like a charm!)
I hope you try this smoothie and enjoy jt as much as my family does!
